The first event for 2014 has a Latin twist with the need to do some research in order to work out where we are going from and where we are going to as well as the intermediate stops. Please don't spoil the fun for other members by your comments in the forum.

The March event takes us up very high. We all know how high Mount Everest is, but do you think your aircraft can get that high. This event will explore the landscape surrounding Everest and also to experience two of the most thrilling airfields in the world.

The April event should be a lot of fun. Centred on Shoreham, it is based on a recent informal event run by Mel Kirk as one of his very popular Monday evening training sessions. It will be run on an FSX multiplayer session and the Club TeamSpeak.

We decided to re-run the very popular old event from five years ago, flying from Gloucester to Popham and return. The main event was planned for the Don Johnson and Friends night on Tuesday 27th, but fly any time during the last week of May and file a PIREP to gain an Event Star.

June's event, produced by our own Ken Greer involves a flight around the south coast and Kent to spot some of England's famous castles and forts. The main event is planned for Thursday 26th, but fly any time during the week and file a PIREP to gain an Event Star.

July's event, produced by our Event Manager Edward Warnell is a simple navigation flight from Biggin Hill to Le Touquet in France. It involves flying to VOR's and airfields and taking in some stunning British scenery on the way. The main event is planned for Friday 25th, but fly any time during the week and file a PIREP to gain an Event Star.

To fill the August holiday period, the event for this month is a visit to Amiens-Glisy LFAY in France. Fly into or out from this airfield on any day in August to qualify for the Event Star. There is no Briefing Document this month.
The 2-4-CIX Team Autumn Display is planned to take place at EGBJ Gloucestershire in an offline multiplayer session on 16th September for club members using FSX. There will be a second display also at EGBJ Gloucestershire on VATSIM on 23rd September. This is the September Star Event.

The Christmas Caper Event this year is a trip to Lapland to visit Santa Claus. It is divided into two phases. During November we make our way from Biggin Hill to Wangerooge. Then we start from there on December 1st and make our way north to join the VATSIM Event 'Fly to see Santa' arriving at Rovaniemi on December 13th. For full details, see the Briefing Document
